Distinguished Alumni Award

presented annually at the GrYphon Gala Dinner

To qualify for consideration, the nominee must be an alumni of the University of Guelph. In addition, the requirements for a nominee are as follows: 

  • A Gryphon Football player

  • Candidates may be re-nominated for up to five consecutive years

  • Past recipients are not eligible

  • A complete nomination package must be received via email

  • All nomination packages will be kept confidential

Nomination package MUST include: 

  • Completed nomination form

  • Covering letter providing an overall statement of recommendation

  • Additional supporting documentation you deem appropriate

Award Presentation: 

  • The recipient will be recognized at the Gryphon Gala Dinner in May 2023

  • The recipient will be honoured with a special Distinguished Alumni Award ring, and have his name engraved on a plaque at Alumni Stadium
